Connect to QuickBooks Online

The availability of NextClerk's integration features with QuickBooks Online depends on your QuickBooks subscription plan. Some features may still appear in NextClerk but could be disabled or non-functional due to limitations in your QuickBooks version.

Here is the step-by-step process to establish the integration:

  1. To ensure a seamless setup, we recommend enabling account numbers in QuickBooks before proceeding. Follow these steps (video):

    • Navigate to the QuickBooks Settings in the top-right corner.
    • Select Account and Settings.
    • Go to the Advanced tab.
    • Under Chart of Accounts, enable Account Numbers.
Next, follow these steps to connect QuickBooks with NextClerk:
  1. Go to the NextClerk platform and select Integration from the left-side menu under Settings.
  2. Locate the QuickBooks Integration tile.
  3. Click the Connect to QuickBooks button.
  4. You will be redirected to QuickBooks Online, where you will be prompted to confirm the connection.
  5. Click Yes to authorize the connection.
  6. The integration process will complete shortly, and you should receive a success message confirming the connection. (video)

Disconnecting NextClerk from QuickBooks

To disconnect QuickBooks from NextClerk, follow these steps:
  1. Open the NextClerk platform and navigate to Settings.
  2. Select Integration from the left-side menu.
  3. Find the QuickBooks Integration tile.
  4. Click the Disconnect button (highlighted in red).
  5. A confirmation message will appear; click Yes to proceed.
  6. The disconnection process will complete shortly, and the integration tile will revert to showing the Connect to QuickBooks option.

Reconnecting NextClerk with QuickBooks

If you need to reconnect QuickBooks with NextClerk, simply follow the same steps outlined in the Setting Up the Integration section above. This will restore the connection and ensure seamless data synchronization.
